Mortgage Lenders

The Steve Lenet Team's
Guide to Selecting a Mortgage Lender

Once you've decided to purchase a new home, one of the most important choices you'll make is that of choosing a lender.

Choose a reliable lender and the process should be a smooth one, from loan application through settlement. But choose an unreliable lender and you may be in for a bumpy ride with "11th hour" problems.

As your Realtors, we'll be in touch with your Loan Officer and Processor from the very beginning, until you've been handed the keys to your new home. That's one of the reasons we strongly recommend using a local mortgage lender. Those internet based lenders have proved to be problematic, often with no one available to speak to when an issue arises. This can lead to delayed or even canceled settlements.

If you currently have a relationship with a local lender we encourage you to get quotes on their costs, fees and rates and then shop around.

In an effort to provide you with my promised "smooth transaction" we're happy to offer the names of lenders we've worked with and have utmost confidence in.

As with any major decision, study your options and compare your findings to be sure you're making the best choice. And as always, we're here to help answer your questions and address your concerns. It's what we do -- and why you've chosen to work with us.
